SPEAKER 1

Professor Jocelyn Dunstan

SHORT BIO: Jocelyn Dunstan is an Adjunct Investigator at iHEALTH and an Associate Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a joint appointment between the Department of Computer Science and the Institute for Mathematical and Computational Engineering. She holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, UK, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Physics from the University of Chile. Her research focuses on the application of computational and mathematical methods to health, particularly the use of natural language processing and machine learning for clinical text mining, patient prioritization, and decision-support tools.

Pamela Gonzalez, PhD student

SHORT BIO: Pamela is a PhD Candidate in Medical Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a student researcher at iHEALTH. Her research focuses on clinical and translational neuroimaging, particularly the use of multimodal MRI to study neurodegenerative diseases and circuit-level changes following magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound in Parkinson’s disease.
